Mighty Ships allows viewers unprecedented access to every part of awe-inspiring sea vessels – both above and below deck – which, ordinarily, they would not get access to.

Series 1 - In the first episode the Queen Mary II, the biggest and most expensive ocean liner ever to set sail, comes under the spotlight. A city at sea, she is both a marvel of luxury and engineering; her engines powerful enough to light a city of 250,000 inhabitants, engines that make her the fastest passenger ship in operation. Other ships include, the M/V Becrux which carries livestock around the world, the Emma Maersk, whose voyages are under constant threat of pirate attack and the MV Faust, the largest cat carrier in the world.
